1001 Wonders of the World App Reviews

Great app with beautiful pictures of interesting destinations in various countries. I can use it to plan a trip or teach my son social studies.

The gorgeous photos in this app alone make for a fabulous trip around the world that fits right into your pocket. That having been said, there is some room for improvement: some photos are in the wrong files (lizards in Alaska??) and some of the facts are incorrect (Mauna Kea Observatory, Hawaii is in the Pacific Ocean, not the Atlantic). The same sound files are used for multiple locations and the descriptions are often non-descript, as if the writer had no first-hand experience. (You can only read about "forbidding mountains," "falling in love" with a place and "no words to describe" something so many times before you get the idea that the author wrote from a pic and a search engine). Theres absolutely no mention of South Korea, which is a major east Asian destination for its fantastic food culture, colorful markets, 24-hr shopping districts, ancient temples and natural treasures like Jejudo Island. If these issues are fixed, then youd have the perfect app. (v. 1.1)
